will you marry me?

so yeah, the mister asked me to marry him. i was in my pj’s and blissfully unaware of his plans.

he had gone to cardiff to ask my mums permission and then once he got home distracted me with a brand new hamster and then made a bottle of asti turn into a bottle of champagne in one swift movement and then popped the question right there in our kitchen!

of course i said YES!

we named the hamster ringo after the ring and have been floating on cloud 9 ever since..

 

christmas markets of bath

good friends friday

on this day i had the most amazing rarebit with katie gatt (she had a steak ciabatta)

on this day my phone went weird and i thought my friends hated me (they didnt)

on this day i saw my favourite girls

on this day it started snowing

on this day i borrowed THE most sparkliest gorgeousest vintage dress from Looby Loos (thanks lowri!)

on this day i drank 3 hot chocolates (one plain, one with cream and one with marshmallows)

on this day we got home very late cause of all the visiting!

the lanes/donuts

went to the lanes for someones leaving drinks in work and i totally fell in love with the place.a bowling alley and bar/diner that made me feel like i was in buffalo ’66, i could just imagine christina ricci doing her tapdance in front of the black & white movie.cant wait to go there again to have a few games of bowling and a burger n beer!

afterwards i checked out an exhibition of one of the misters friends in donuts, a funky clothes shop. we put in an order for one of his prints 🙂

LONDINIUM

my trip to londinium (and cobham) was made with: walking for miles and hurting my back/mikshakes (peanut butter and banana OMG/accidentally going to agent provocateur (dont worry i only bought a book)/realxing views of the thames and canary wharf from my cousin’s flat/breakfast with isabella (“if you eat all your toast you can play with my phone”)and my first taste of macaroons from laduree-heaven.

 

london wishlist wednesday

i will be visiting le big smoke in a couple of weeks and there are certain things that i specifically want to seek out. any recommendations would be very welcome 😀 i havent been to london town for nearly TWO YEARS and i am not happy about it. help make my stay more interesting.

 

MACAROONS

i am a total macaroon virgin and  i feel myself getting rather excited about the upcoming de-flowering. lets face it, they look AMAZING. the colours, the texture..so where does one go in london to seek the perfect macaroon for such a momentous occasion?

 

CUPCAKES

hummingbird? primrose? a stumbled-upon back street independant? i need guidance! good hot drinks too..

 

COCKTAILS

not too hip n swingin, but not where the cocktails are made in a plastic bin and sold by the jug.

 

VINTAGE

im talking clothes, accessories, books, homewares and jewellry, and affordable! maybe i mean point me to london finest charity shops..

 

ATTRACTIONS

be it museums, galleries, speakeasies, secret societies, seminars i want to know about it! i am visiting 1st-5th nov (isnt that half term…oops)

this week i have mostly been into

films:

kickass– it was the first time i had seen this and i thought it was bloody brilliant.nicholas cage, what a nutter.shogun assassin n shit.

goonies– hired this from the tellybox. i know all the words to this but its rare for me to see the full version without the “edited for tv” bits. like when chunk breaks the statues willy, when chunk says “you turd” instead of “you nurr”, when the fratelli’s momma says “kids suck” instead of “kidssss”, i could go on. i am also a pro at the continuity errors.

tv:

biggie & tupac. ive seen this before but while flicking around the channels i saw it was on so settled down to watch it. the highlight has got to be when nick broomfield visits suge knight in prison and he gives the “message for the kids”.
